Who We Are - Based on the original parish nurse model, the Health Ministry is composed of a group of volunteers, mostly nurses and other health professionals. We are not replacing or filling in for other care providers, such as the Visiting Nurses, but serve as an adjunct. Members abide by a strict code of confidentiality.
What We Do - Blood pressure screenings after all Masses on Sunday once a month. Health counseling and referrals to other health or social services to help fill the gap left by health care providers due to insurance constraints. Disease prevention through health education. Home, hospital and visits to those in nursing homes. Support for the bereaved by connecting them with people who have had similar experiences.
Why We Care - Our mission is to reflect Jesus' concern for the sick and the needy, as the early Christians did in their faith communities. We do this by extending a helping hand to the people of the our parish.
How To Reach Us - For help or more information, you may contact the parish office at 508-238-3232 or [email protected].
