The Sacrament of Reconciliation, with the frequent reception of Holy Communion, is greatest source of grace for Christians. The Catechism of the Catholic Church also refers to this sacrament as the Sacrament of Penance, the Sacrament of Conversion, the Sacrament of Forgiveness. All of these titles remind us that being reconciled with God, or with anyone else for that matter, is a dialogue of the heart. When a person is aware that they have offended another, reconciliation requires an openness of heart, acknowledgement of one's sin, sincere contrition, and a desire to be made whole again. The result is the joy of God's love is renewed within us. The Sacrament of Reconciliation offers that opportunity for us.
